1       Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern your membership and participation in E.S.G.V. de Club, a student golf association dedicated to promoting the sport and providing a community for its members. By becoming a member of de Club, you agree to abide by these Terms, which are designed to ensure a fair, enjoyable, and safe environment for all members.

2       Membership Eligibility and Requirements

2.1       Sportscard Requirement

Membership of de Club is contingent upon the possession of a valid sportscard. This card must be presented upon request by the board of the association.

2.2       Yearly Contribution

Members are required to pay their yearly contribution in full before the 1st of October each year (either by direct debit or by invoice). Failure to do so may result in suspension of membership privileges until such payments are made.

2.3       Unregistering

Membership does not automatically end upon graduation. Members wishing to leave de Club must manually unsubscribe. Failure to unsubscribe will result in continued accrual of membership fees.

2.4      Unregistering after registering

In case that a member wants unsubsrcibe after just registering, they will get their money redeposited in their account if they do so within 14 days. 

2.5       Transition to Donor Membership Upon Graduation

As soon as it has been made aware to the board of the association that a member has graduated but has not terminated their membership, their regular membership will be changed into a donor membership. This transformation implies that members lose their voting rights at the General Members Meetings (GMM). The intention behind this policy is to maintain a connection with the alumni while aligning the membership status with their new role outside the student community.

3       Club Hours and Responsibilities

3.1       Ball Collection

Members arriving at any point during Club hours agree to participate in ball collection duties at 21:00. This is essential for the maintenance of de Club’s facilities and the availability of equipment for all members. If members leave the clubevenings prematurely, they will be met with fitting counter measures.

4       Liability and Safety

4.1       Assumption of Risk

Members acknowledge that participation in golf and any related activities carries with it certain inherent risks that cannot be eliminated regardless of the care taken to avoid injuries. De Club is not responsible for any physical harm or injury that may occur during our club evenings or in the course of participation in any Club activities.

5       Conduct and Club Property

5.1       Respect and Care

Members are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects well on de Club and to treat Club property and the property of other members with respect and care. Vandalism, theft, or deliberate damage to property will result in disciplinary action, which may include termination of membership.

5.2 Privacy measures

E.S.G.V. de Club will keep track of your personal records (name, email address, and phone number) for 2 years after unregistering from the association. 

6       Amendments

6.1       Changes to Terms

De Club reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Members will be notified of any changes and continued membership following such notification will constitute acceptance of the new Terms.

7       Governing Law

7.1       Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which de Club operates. Disputes arising hereunder shall be resolved in the applicable legal forums of said jurisdiction.

By accepting these Terms and Conditions through your membership application or renewal, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by all the terms and conditions outlined herein.
